Ask the experts at Gardenland How to Convert Your Gas-Powered Landscape Equipment into Battery-Powered Zero-Emission Tools.

California lawmakers passed Assembly Bill 1346 on October 9, 2021 that will phase out the sale of gas-powered leaf blowers, lawn mowers and other small off-road engines by as soon as 2024.  On December 9th, the California Air Resource Board made amendments to the pending 2024 regulation, and you can read the details here.

Gardenland has been selling commercial quality battery-powered landscape equipment for the past 10 years. We were named the #1 Mean Green Dealer in the US in 2019, and continue to sell more STIHL battery-powered equipment than any other dealer in the US year over year.

Converting from gas to battery-powered equipment is an easy transition for homeowners. The migration is tricky for professional gardeners and landscapers, and the main three factors to address are: equipment selection and battery platform, training landscape crews how to use battery-powered equipment, and address the charging infrastructure challenge.
