Burning Like a Heatwave

Heatwave in San Jose

Triple digit temperatures are here to stay in Silicon Valley for a couple of weeks. Some Bay Area cities are expected to warm up this week as temperatures climb by as much as 20 degrees over a five-day period, including San Jose, which could reach 90 degrees for just the second time this year.

Here are some tips for beating the heat: take frequent breaks in the shade or in air conditioning, drink lots of water, wear light weight clothing and check on kids, seniors and pets as they are the most susceptible to the heat.

Over 5,000 PG&E customers in West San Jose lost power today and more power outages and possible rolling brown-outs could be on the horizon.

If your business or home needs emergency back-up power, then stop-by Gardenland Power Equipment and shop our complete line of Honda gas powered generators. We have small portable Honda EU1000i and Honda EU2000i generators that can power lights and small appliances for up to 8 hours on a tank of gas. If you need emergency back-up power for your home or office, then we recommend a Honda EU7000i generator.

Gasoline will go bad within 30-days of sitting in a gas tank so we highly recommend that you use TruFuel in your gas tank. TruFuel has a two-year shelf life and will not corrode the fuel line and ruin your generator.

You can buy any Honda or BearCat generator through our online store and either ship it to your home or pick-up in our store.
